we're here!

a day of travel and poof. we are in bejing. international travel is still a strange concept to grasp. its midnight here and i have had a wee catnap while the my mom snores. ruby and hazel are in slumberland as well. but me, well i am not a sleeper.flight was relatively painless and all the kids played games , watched movies and piled like puppies all together.

out hotel is not a big box as i feared but is in a residential area with lots of action. i ventured out last night to get food and immediately remembered the feel of a chinese city at night. people walking, riding bikes, motorbikes and the smells of street food surrounded me.
